A miswrap is not a flaw for grading.

Yeah, but you aren't the one grading the book, PGX is. Maybe that's why your grading is always off.

Re: Nick Fury #5

You would be surprised how accurate I am. I counted off more for spine wear and the top edge of the book. Now, that could be the holder but without having the book in front of me well...8.5 for that bad boy!!!!

Tim i think you would grade it higher if you had the book in front of you! This book is at least a 9.2 and i feel confident you would think so if you held it in hand -the colors and whiteness are amazing! Grading from a scan is a strange art!

He would probably still grade it the same.

I know I'm late, but I would have thought 9.4. The miswrap doesn't count to the "pro" graders, so I kept that in mind, that said, it's got sharp corners, nice color, and nothing obvious wrong with it.

Nice book!!

A miswrap is not a flaw for grading.

Miswrapped, and far more severely mis-cut (alot of serrating and slanted alignment on the right edge), but CGC typically won't deduct grading points for those types of factory flaws, although they should. Any defect that impacts the structural integrity of the paper, whether incurred at the factory or after distribution, like the rough cut that left its mark on this book's right edge, should affect the grade.

Please Don't Shoot The Messenger...

NICK FURY

HMMMMMMMMM… with a moderate progressive reverse spine roll or miss-wrap; What are the discoloration lines running parallel to the open edge to the right of his head?… water damage???? Of Concern: the black edge line that starts at the upper open edge disappears about 3/5th way down… not cut square???
And the pages that are visible show slight abrasion….???
