 The CGC boards are great. What most of you don't realize is that I was running (crappy) forums in the summer of 2001, about 2 years before joining the CGC forums.
These ubbthreads are the best out there.

Is that the one you bought a couple of years back, Scott? I thought it came back a Blue Universal 9.2?

Hey Erik,
Yes, it's the one I bought in 2004, but no, it did not come back Universal 9.2.
The CGG/PGX books I've resubmitted to CGC are as follows (from memory):
Tales To Astonish #90: CGG 9.2 -> CGC 9.4 Tales To Astonish #92: CGG 9.2 -> CGC 9.0 ASM #10: CGG 9.4 -> CGC 9.4 trimmed
Leaving aside the missed restoration on the ASM#10 (which was trimmed by the same guy who trimmed the Batman #11 that CGC missed from that old Heritage auction), I have to say that I agreed with CGG/PGX's grading on all three issues. I thought CGC overgraded the TTA 90 and undergraded the TTA 92.
My biggest concern with PGX at this point is their lack of transparency around their operation. I don't know who any of their support staff are and I know nothing about Daniel's past. Daniel seems like a nice guy, but so does Doug Schmell. I think Daniel has been historically loose in grading mid-grade books and lower grade books (especially low grade books), but I think that his grading is solid from 9.0-9.8.
