"Shawn;
Your collection won't be complete until you include the Canadian versions of the MLJ comics, such as Super Comics and Roly-Poly.
Howard Siegel"
To which I reply:
"Sure it will – those aren’t MLJ books, but reprints. The Canadian books were published by FEH, and Roly-Poly was published by Green Publishing in 1946.
Next!
Oh, by the way – you do realize the Canadian “FEH” and “Green Publishing” books are simply reprints, right? No original content; even the covers were swipes of MLJ books!

Feh? Isn't that a word that they used in Mad to express disdain or disgust (or some other dis?) Surely you don't have to include all the reprints just to have a complete collection. I once had complete runs of things like Marvel's Greatest, Marvel Tales, etc., etc., even though I had all the originals. Then I decided I didn't really need all those reprints, so I dumped them. No, I think having all of the original comics counts as a complete collection. Kudos, Shawn. Keep up the good work, and 'nuff said.

Don't worry about it, Shawn. If you have all the original issues released by MLJ, then you've got the complete set.

Only the covers are different, (Union Jack Shield and red Black Hood) you could include the covers and the reader can convert the stories to B&W themselves. But if you go that rout where do you stop. What about the Brazilian Hangman stories?

You have to remember that there are collectors who want to have EVERY variation of the MLJ books that are out there. We see that sort of thing in practically every endevor involving collectables of one sort or another.
I also see this thing in my other collecting endevor, which is collecting old records. I've seen collectors who want to have every label variation of every Beatles 45 and LP ever released.
