This is such a wonderful product! I recieved my copy today and I want to thank Shawn for all of his efforts on behalf of making a serious contribution to the world of comics fandom.

Honestly, Shawn, this project secures your place in Comics History.

Received the complete DVD yesterday--what a brilliant collection! The menu is quick and easy to use, the quality of the scans is terrific, and leafing through the books is as easy as turning a page. Recommended without the slightest reservation to anyone with an interest in Golden Age comics--these are great stories with marvelous artwork.

Shawn, you have surely secured your berth in the superhero Valhalla!

(It's greedy of me, but I'm already looking forward to the day when you turn loose the complete Centaur line-up!)

Shawn, I got the DVD in the mail today. What can I say? It's terrific! There's not much more I can add. From the great cover to the fantastic contents, just a tremendous piece of work on your part. A real work of art. Although I have some of the books in other form, including fiche and CD-Rom, it's just the idea of having all of them in one place that boggles the mind. I'd encourage everyone to send for one. YOu won't be sorry.

Again, Shawn, congratulations on a job exceedingly well done. Keep 'em flying!

I had the first 10 cds and then purchased the issues one by one as new ones arrived. About a years ago I got the first DVD from Shawn and it was great.

However, I now have the new DVD and it is outstanding. It is amazing to have the entire MLJ collection on one DVD fully formatted so you can easily get from issue to issue.

Great work, thank you Shawn!

Hi, Shawn

Received the DVD yesterday, and have been enjoying it. Just great to be able to read these stories. Some of the scans are excellent, and others look like they're from photos, but it's good to see this stuff in any form!

Do you know which stories are drawn by Lucey? Some are signed, and I think he drew the "Madame Satan" stories - any others?

Thanks

Kent B

I was just wondering after reading about copyrights and such if selling these is legal. If these arent public domain as i have read in some posts how are able to sell these? I want to purchase but am not real sure on if this is legal or not.

It has been almost a year since I ordered the DVD-ROM with all the MLJ comics on it. I have been reading them in order, by date, and it has taken me this long to complete the whole thing! Whew! What a job, but it was worth it. It was great to see the company develop and then go to hell in such a short time. I don't want to review their entire history (read the Ray Miller article if you want that), but it was amazing how they reached their peak in 1942, and then barely a year later they undid everything and were on track to becoming Archie publications. What a shame. They could have rivaled DC, Fawcett, Quality and Timely if they had wanted to. I would recommend anyone who has the DVD (and if you don't, what are you waiting for?) to do the same thing. It's an experience.
Keep 'em flying, Shawn!
