If nothing else, this book makes for a fine "jumping off" point for me. I have no interest in keeping track of all these "new" characters in all their many dozens of different titles... so I say, "bon voyage, monthlies!"

Hey, anyone want to see that killer splash from it? I have it on image host. I think, I might like what is going on with the Marvel Family.

Is the guy in the white costume with hood the new Captain Marvel or is he Shazam who was supposedly killed by the Spectre?

I am taking a guess here but I believe they are repositioning the Marvel Family. I believe, if the colors are correct Mary Marvel takes Captain Marvel Jr's place. Captain Marvel Jr. takes Captain Marvel's place and the guy in White is Actually the original Captain Marvel. This is conjecture but I wouldn't be surprised if the guy in White becomes Shazam now. That would solve some of those more pesky licensing/fan confusion issues. I don't know if this is a good thing but it just might be the spark that is needed to boost the character up to truly being a first tier character.

What sort of polish does one use on a giant turd, anyway?

The same as they use on your bald spot when you go to the barber.

Okay, that was a good one. Not as good as the one I gave your sister last night, but it was a good one nonetheless.

Your posts, unlike yourself, had enough sense to know better and opted to run for the hills?

Oh posh, you knuckle head. My posts are somewhat wttty and filled with ebullient charm. Not like the curmudgeonly drivel that seems to find itself in your posts.
Edit: Oh that reminds me, I need show you pics of the latest books I picked up MK.
Here is the my Captain Marvel Adventures and Whiz Comics collection in a slide show. Let me know, if you have any problems seeing it.

I will have in a Whiz Comics #67 here in a week or so. By August I should have a Captain Marvel Adventures 27 and 37.

How early are your Whiz books? Have any of the first 10? Say, if you have beat up copies you should scan them! I'll start adding complete Captain Marvel stories here!

Nope, the Earliest of the Whiz Comics is 67. Since the Archives have the first 20 or so Issues of Whiz, you might be better going with the Captain Marvel Adventures. I have one raw copy and possibly 2 other Whiz/CMA, I can send out to you so you can scan them but they are all later. Wish, when I sold my raw copies last year, I had scanned them completely.

I think I have a few coverless Golden Age Fawcetts around the house somewhere. I hope to find them and maybe have them scanned. If not, I could always sell them on Ebay and hope that they are bought by someone who could scan them.
BTW; the last time I looked two of those books were issues of CAPTAIN MARVEL ADVENTURES and one of them was an issue of WHIZ COMICS. The other five books were four issues of WOW COMICS and an issue of MASTER COMICS.

If the Master Comics is #126, I know someone who is looking for that book. I usually pick up VF and above copies so, I am rather reluctant to crack the slab and scan. Any of the lower grade books, I get my hands on, I will try to scan and get to you or just send them outright to be scanned by you.
