I've recently got the chance to read some of the earliest issues of DETECTIVE COMICS and managed to read a strip that was very reminicent of that pulp novel, THE CLAWS OF THE RED DRAGON serial (which eventually became the BRUCE NELSON strip) All the element that were in that MYSTERIOUS WU-FANG story was in that strip.

BTW; Robert J. Hogan's Wu-Fang might have been the basis for the Wu Fang in the SHANGHAI SHERIDAN strip.

I've thought of asking about that.

Timulty's right, though. If you were to start a Magazine Forum Pulps could be a part of that. I would also ask if you would then move this thread to that section, if you do decide to start one. I would certainly contribute what I can to the Forum.

We could also discuss Fanzines there too.....
Fanzines are something I am not familiar with. I would like to see a Magazine forum.

Fanzine's were amateur magazines written by fans. Alter Ego was one such, Star Studded Comics by the Texas Trio is another (I just recently finished my run of SSC). There's a really great book you should check out called "The Golden Age of Comic Book Fandom" by Bill Schelly. Great reading!

One of the things that made Fanzine's interesting, besides the articles on comics & characters, was the original strips written and drawn by the fans of these publications, some of whom went on to professional careers in comics.

I'll post some scans shortly.....
