Best to avoid "Bonehead" Eides. Why? Because "Bonehead" wouldn't know a trimmed from an untrimmed Golden age book if you hit him square in the face with 70 of them!

That's been proven and NOW he know that for sure. If you brought him Detective 27 through 77, all in CGC-blue label-ready, untrimmed condition, he'd PASS on them all for being "trimmed".

THEN, instead of accepting that he was the Bonehead that let a half-million dollars worth of beautiful books walk right out of his door, accept the fact that he BLEW IT, "Bonehead" Eides bad mouths the books, bad mouths the seller, and badmouths the buyer, concocting lie after lie in a failed effort to cover up the biggest failed buying blunder in hobby history.

Didn't this whole story start with the evil DD on VIDEOTAPE in Bonehead Eides' store trying to make a sale? Did that little tidbit get swept under the rug somewhere along the line? Where is the tape? Let's see it.

If I were Todd, Heritage, or Dupcak, I would already be in consultation with a lawyer to see to what extent Bonehead Eides can be sued for all the libel in an attempt to cast a poor light and stigmatize these unrestored books and anyone involved or accused of being involved in a negative light in connection with them.

If I were "Bonehead", I'd have one of my employees that I also coerced into "recognizing Dupcak" and have them put on that old army boot of mine, bend over, and have them gove me a swift, hard kick right in the arse, then hire a lawyer and sue MYSELF for that monumentous blunder of passing on those 70 books!

That was like opening up your window and throwing $300,000 out onto the street!!

Hi Everybody! Hi Shawn! Am I personae non-grata here? Is it OK if I stick around for awhile?

It's a fascinating thread over on CGC. It's like a train wreck that I can't stop reading - I just wish everyone that had "hidden" information would just spill the beans!

Does Eide's just have sour grapes! Do you know who shopped these books around? This story is fascinating on many levels!

Hammer. My only question is what is your involvement with these books? Which incarnation are you this week?

He may not respond for weeks. Would be HIGHLY entertaining if he used the mug shot as an avatar though! Hell, if I had one, I would!

I didn't shop ANY Golden age books to anyone!! The last Golden age books that I shopped/sold were on Ebay, years ago. Some Timelys, about 8 to 10 of them, Caps and MMs in the mid to high numbers in maybe early 2006.

My strong suit was never golden age. I bought very few, a mere fraction compared to Silver age.

As far as Dupcak goes, people still credit me with his dealings but I must point out that we're two different people and all the wishing thinking in the world isn't going to merge two people into one body and mind. It works differently in real life than science fiction.

It seems to me that someone or several people are making a concerted effort to discredit CGC, Heritage, Geppi, and anyone else being accused of manipulation concerning the buying, selling, grading, and handling of these 70 or 71 books.

Then again, I'm not part of this, so even though "Bonehead" Eides looks like a liar with the stain of sour grapes on his words, he may well be proven a genius and I can only guess along with everybody else, since I don't have DD radio tagged.

DD may have been secretly restoring books for dealers for decades, most of which have been pushed through the blue label grist mill with all the other purple-worthy crap with full knowledge of everybody involved. Maybe Eides was even one of his clients!!! And he knows from firsthand knowledge. Make people money and they don't give a rat's toukas about if you're the Devil himself. That's the way the world works where money is involved, believe it or not.

DD may have trimmed the Det 27 and all the other books, either recently or 20 years ago. There are so many possible scenarios to this story that ANYTHING is possible. Integrity means alot less to alot more people in this hobby than can be imagined, especially the guys who profess to be bastions of integrity!

DD may be hard at work, even today, busily working on certain seller's books at their behest, creating tomorrow's price-busting, auction record breaking treasures to join the rest of all the manipulated Blue label books.

Do you know how many CGC and PGX books that I see on Ebay that are angle trimmed? Here's a hint. Take how many were around Ewert's heyday and multiply it by 2 and keep multipiying. Stop multiplying in about 5 minutes. At least 5 guys have replaced Ewert as prolific blue label trimmeers. It's to the point that there's almost as many slabbed trimmed books in blue labels as there are raw being offered unrestored.

People said I was crazy years ago. I said I'd be proven to be right and I was 100% right on all counts. Ewert's books, Trimmed books in blue labels consistantly showing up, dealer owned grading services, FTC fines, In house clandestine resto services for select submittors, right about all of it. Only a few give credit where credit is due.

I also said that Red Hook's tip of the iceberg (best and most accurately representative CGC forum image EVER) was only the tip of the tip of the iceberg and as the days pass, that becomes more evident. I like Hook, don't mind admitting it, and don't think he's the heavy like everyone else seems to think for his GR gaffe on the forums.

Eides may be a disgruntled bonehead who made a huge mistake, or may well be a visionary. He may be on the money and may even be a big part of this scenario, maybe even the engineer of it all!! I certainly don't know. I can only question like everyone else does the possible answers of which there are dozens.

If I were DD, I would know for sure. But I'm not and at the same disadvantage as everyone else. One thing for sure, if DD can ALWAYS get away scott-free from all this evil he's supposed to be doing, all this manipulating, he MUST be operating with confederates from a very high level! That one thing is certain.

people sure love you when you put ducats in their pockets.

Buffy, I didn't shop any books to anyone in any store. I owned one Detective 27 with a taped spine about 35 years ago. About 10 years before Fantazia was a twinkling in DD's eye. Concensus is that DD, Robojo, and RK (me) are all the same person. We are not and there's not a person on the planet that can prove we are one in the same. That's impossible.

Buffy, I want you to think about this carefully, since you took the time to at least ask a question that you didn't think you already had the answer to.

How many of my "crazy Hammer" conspiracy theories from the past 7 years, "lies" spun to "deflect blame and suspicions" have come to be proven true?

If the answer is the great majority, possibly I'm not the great deceiver everyone claims I am.

And please mention to Elrod that I'll be waiting for him under the Brooklyn Bridge with:

and

http://www.crafts-gifts.com/peace-pipes/peace-pipe.jpg

He can choose whichever one he wants to use.

Also, tell him if he's like to bring that Spiderman 32 that he received trimmed, I'd be happy to give him the $50 refund that he never asked me for. That book is worth DOUBLE that right now, even with the purple label!

Also, if anyone that claims that they ever bought a restored book from Fantazia would like their purchase price refunded on it in exchange for the book, even though I wasn't the seller, I will buy it from them. Even with restoration, which wasn't a big issue back then, at today's price levels, they're worth at least triple and alot more than what they were purchased for, I'm sure.

Hey, No hard feelings! EVERYBODY loves CG. And I'm no exception to that universal constant!! Your intentions are good and you have no ulterior motives to deceive fro your own gain. That makes you an endangered species in this hobby.

Uh-oh. Watch your back. here come the CGC forumites with that pitchfork. They turn on you fast if they think you're being too communicative with me!
